Fields in Trust

Our Centenary

For a hundred years our charity has led the way to protect the future of parks, playgrounds, playing fields and green spaces that could otherwise be lost to development. These places benefit the environment, our communities and the physical and mental health of everyone.

HRH The Prince of Wales
Patron

"As Fields in Trust marks one hundred years of protecting green spaces for the wellbeing of the people of tomorrow, I am delighted to see their continued work helping us all recognise how much these green spaces matter to the future of our villages, towns, and cities. They are essential to daily life, they are at the heart of our communities, boost wellbeing, reduce loneliness and help fight climate change. Despite the significant importance of these spaces, they are often undervalued and under threat. By supporting Fields in Trust’s brilliant work, we can help ensure there are green spaces for future generations."

Jill Scott MBE
President

"Becoming President of Fields in Trust for me is a true honour. As soon as I heard about what Fields in Trust are all about I realised it really aligns with my values. I'm so passionate about protecting parks and green spaces because I feel so fortunate I found my green space."

Tony Juniper CBE
Ambassador

"I am delighted to join Fields in Trust as an Ambassador, as I have a deep rooted passion for nature and the vital role that green spaces play in our lives."

Our parks and green spaces are under threat.

Act NOW to help us save more spaces for future generations.

Help us meet the challenge

For a century, Fields in Trust has been the fearless guardian of the UK’s parks and green spaces. With thousands of passionate supporters like you rallying behind us, our mission since 1925 has been crystal clear: to keep the country’s towns and cities green and healthy, both today and for future generations.

We have ambitious plans for our centenary year. We will be focusing on systemic change, raising awareness, and co-designing the tools and services the sector needs to thrive.
