Fields in Trust

Leave a legacy

Remembering us with a gift in your will means you can ensure future generations will always have parks and green spaces to enjoy and cherish.

Please get in touch if you have a loved one that you would like to pay tribute to, or if there is a park or green space that is special to your family. We would be honoured to help you plan a legacy for someone you love.

I learned how to fly a kite in this park, and now I'm teaching my children the same. This place holds a lot of importance to our family when it comes to making new memories and traditions.

Oleg, London
How do I include a gift in my will?
  • Think about what you have – your estate and assets – and who you’d like to be your executor.
  • Choose who you will remember in your will and, after taking care of family and friends, consider leaving the remainder to the causes you care about.
  • Decide who will write your will. We recommend using a solicitor to make sure everything is legal and valid. You can search for a solicitor with the Law Society for England & Wales or the Law Society for Scotland.
  • If you already have a will and wish to add our charity as one of your beneficiaries, ask a solicitor to help you complete a codicil and then keep it safe with your will.
How does a gift in my will affect my tax position?
  • The money and assets left in your estate may be subject to Inheritance Tax. For up-to-date information on rates, reliefs and exemptions we recommend reading the advice on the UK Government website.
  • To explore the advantages of making a gift to charity, we recommend reading the latest advice from Citizen’s Advice. A reputable Inheritance Tax solicitor will be able to offer you detailed, tailored advice on your individual circumstances.
What else do I need to know if I would like to pledge a gift in my will to Fields in Trust?
  • Your chosen solicitor will require the following information about Fields in Trust: Fields in Trust, Woodstock Studios, 36 Woodstock Grove, London, W12 8LE. Registered charity numbers 306070 (England and Wales) SC040357 (Scotland).
  • We would also be grateful if you would email us at [email protected] to let us know your kind intentions.

I would hate to think that this special place won’t be here for my grandchildren
