We are delighted to reveal the shortlists for this year's Fields in Trust Awards, with the winners due to be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 29th November.
Nominations were invited for eight categories which will be awarded on the evening, with a judging panel of industry experts whittling all the nominations received down to shortlists for each Award. The UK’s Best Park Award was nominated and voted for by the general public.
The ceremony will be held once again this year at Lord's Cricket Ground. All those shortlisted will be invited to attend and the winners will be announced on Twitter, @FieldsInTrust, as they are revealed on the night.
The UK's Best Park, as voted by YOU! Award saw 360 local green spaces across the UK nominated by members of the public before a public vote to find the winner with over 15,000 votes cast. The shortlist comprises:
The Friends Group of the Year Award recognises the groups who work to make their green space an amazing part of their community, being inclusive, creative and effective in their support and management of the space. The shortlist comprises:
The Fields in Trust Community Champion Award is for those who really make a difference to their local green space, going the extra mile organising events, or encouraging others to get involved. The shortlist comprises:
The Fields in Trust Young Champion Award, supported by Groundwork, is open to those aged between 16 and 24 who have encouraged more activities on a green space through events, coaching, improved provision of facilities or increased usage on the site. The shortlist comprises:

The Most Improved Fields in Trust site Award considers how sites have made improvements over the last 18 months to two years including how volunteers and the local community were involved and the impact of the improvements. The shortlist comprises:
Getting Active on a Fields in Trust site (Team Sports) is for those who have transformed team sport and worked to increase participation for all ages and abilities over the last year or so on their site. The shortlist comprises:

In addition to the above Awards, Fields in Trust will also recognise its Partners of the Year and showcase newly protected Centenary Fields from across the UK at the Ceremony.
