UK’s Favourite Parks

1st January 2015 - 31st December 2022

This campaign gave communities a chance to shine a light on the green spaces that hold a special place in their hearts.

Local parks are special places to relax, play and meet loved ones and the UK’s Favourite Park campaign was our chance to celebrate the spaces that play such an important part in our daily lives.

Hundreds of parks have been nominated in the campaign and thousands of people have voted for their favourites. Find out more about some of the fantastic spaces that have been crowned the UK's Favourite Park.

2022 winner: Penrhos Coastal Park

Attracting close to 100,000 visitors each year, this beautiful 200-acre park in Wales has everything from beaches to woodland walks and was crowned our 2022 winner.

2017 and 2019 winner: Stanley Park

Designed in 1926, Blackpool's grade II listed park stretches across 390 acres and boasts a blend of architecture, horticulture and recreation. No wonder it took the title not once but twice, in 2017 and 2019.

2016 winner: Rouken Glen Park

Glasgow’s Rouken Glen Park opened in 1906 and welcomes around one million visitors a year. Featuring walled gardens, boating ponds and even its own waterfall, this popular park was our winner in 2016.

2015 winner: Telford Town Park

Shropshire’s wildlife-rich nature reserve and park was our inaugural winner in 2015. Complete with fishing ponds, nature trails, cycling routes and adventure play areas, this local gem was a worthy winner.
