Hersham Memorial Garden is regularly used by the community for picnics or local events and some trees and benches have kindly been donated by residents and associations. The garden is open all year round and can be visited at any time.

The war memorial remembers the 115 men from the village who fell during World War I, of the 900 who went off to fight. It was unveiled on 7th November 1920 before being updated in 1952 to include the 34 Hersham men who died during World War II. Following the Armistice, a captured German gun was displayed on in the park, but this was removed and melted down to make British weapons with the onset of World War II.
